Honours and Awards

UPSU SSTAR Faculty Winner for the Most Innovative Use Of Teaching Methods 2016 The Plymouth University Students’ Union SSTAR Awards recognise excellent teaching within the university that engages students and encourages and improves learning.

Vernon Harrison Doctoral Prize Winner 2007 The Vernon Harrison Annual Doctoral Prize of the British Society of Rheology is an award for the most distinguished PhD thesis in rheology and is awarded to the postgraduate member who has made the most original and significant contribution to any branch of rheological research.

Visiting fellow of Tsinghua University, Beijing, China Awarded a visiting fellowship as part of the Beijing Computational Science Research program between June–August 2012

Visiting fellow of the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Cambridge Awarded a visiting fellowship as part of the Partial Differential Equations in Kinetic Theories program between September–October 2010
